Actor Tommy Davidson is claiming that he and Will Smith almost traded blows over Jada Pinkett Smith back in the 90s.

Davidson revealed the news in his new memoir titled Living in Color. For those of you that don't know, Davidson starred alongside Jada for the 1998 romantic comedy Woo and were friends. According to Davidson, they were both unhappy with the films ending and discussed how it could be improved.

Davidson was considering kissing Jada but did not bring it up to her.

"I didn't know this: You have to rehearse a kiss. You can't just spring it on your costar … And I didn't think it was all that big of a deal," he wrote.

So he went in for a kiss, to Jada's horror, and she rebuffed him. But Will caught wind of what had gone down and burst into Davidson's trailer to inform him that he "didn't appreciate that," the comedian wrote.

Will went all gangsta on me, saying what I did was not cool," Davidson wrote. "There was a moment there when we might have come to blows. My reactive fight-or-flight instinct was triggered, and I could have exploded."

He said Jada managed to talk them both down, so they did not actually get into a full-on brawl.
