Today marked a historic event, when Lady Meghan Markle married into the most prestigious royal family in the world. She's effectively a PRINCESS now.
But officially Meghan is not a princess - you need royal blood for that. But the Queen Of England bestowed on her a title - the Duchess Of Sussex.
Prince Henry of Wales got a few new titles today also. He's now also the Duke of Sussex, Earl of Dumbarton and Baron Kilkeel.
But the Queen decided NOT to give a coat of arms to Meghan's dad.
It's a major snub, because the fathers of previous commoners who married into the Royal Family, including those of Kate Middleton and Sophie Rhys-Jones, were given coat of arms.
CNN reported that, "Meghan, the Duchess Sussex, chose a modest white bridal gown designed by Givenchy's Clare Waight Keller for her wedding to Britain's Prince Harry at St George's Chapel in Windsor."
The ivory silk dress was modern and feminine, with a shoulder-framing bateau neckline, simple A-line silhouette, and slim three-quarter sleeves. The train was short, stopping well before the 16.5-foot silk tulle veil, which was was hand-embroidered with flora representing the 53 countries of the Commonwealth.
An estimated 100,000 people packed into the town of Windsor to witness the event.
Meghan was walked down the aisle by Prince Charles (the soon to be King), because her own father got DISINVITED by Queen Elizabeth. Meghan's father was being greedy and sold paparazzi pictures of himself doing "British things" before the wedding and the Queen wasn't having ANY of that.
Regardless of all that though, Meghan looked very beautiful for her wedding and we're happy that there is now a WOMAN OF COLOR in the castle. GO Girl!
