R&B singer Tinashe was dropped by her record label RCA, MTO News has confirmed. The decision to DROP Tinashe came last week, but the company made it official yesterday.

The decision to drop Tinashe comes just one day after RCA Records announced that they were dropping R. Kelly.

As of yesterday, RCA had removed Tinashe and all mention of her from the label’s website.

Rumors of Tinashe getting dropped heated up in In November, when Tinashe alluded to her split with RCA by posting a screenshot of a “404 Not Found” - an error message that displays when you try to access her artist page on RCARecords.com.

While there has been no official confirmation from Tinashe or RCA, MTO News spoke with an exec at the label who told us that Tinashe has been "released."

It may be a blessing in disguise for Tinashe. She will be starring in the live action show RENT this Sunday - and it will be seen by millions of people.

Who knows, maybe it can even jump-start her career . . .

In other news, according to Page Six, Mario, who’s appearing on Fox’s “Rent: Live” Sunday with Tinashe, denies he’s dating his co-star.

Tongues wagged that the singers are an item after they were spotted leaving a recent late-night dinner at Craig’s in LA.

But Mario told us, “She is a beautiful girl and we do have a vibe. But I [had] never been to Craig’s, and she asked me if I wanted to go to dinner with her and her manager.”
