The daytime talk show The Real is going through its first major cast shake up. The show will be brining in comedian and actress Amanda Seales in January - to join the cast.

The current talk show hosts cast consists of Loni Love, Tamera Mowry, Adrienne Baillion, and Jeannie Mai. To start, Amanda will be the fifth member of the cast.

But the production team sees Amanda as being the leader on the show - replacing Loni Love

News of Amanda joining The Real was leaked online yesterday. MTO News reached out to a member of production, who spilled all the tea on what's really going down.

The insider told MTO News, "Amanda is being brought on to help lead the discussion, she'll be taking Loni's role." The insider added, "They're both comedians with very strong personalities and views, and they're both Black women - there is no need to have them both on the cast."

The belief on set is that Amanda will be brought on to acclimate herself to the cast, then when Loni's contract is up in June - she'll be let go.

Our insider explained, "Loni is a lame duck, unless Amanda completely screws up, Loni is gone by summer."
