MTO News learned that the producers of The Real are planning on making a major cast shake up - and that Tamera Mowry is the most likely member of the cast to be fired. According to a person with knowledge of production, the show is looking to add a "Conservative" voice to the panel of women.
A person close to production explained, "The show's ratings have been slipping and [producers] are going to try and shake things up."
Tamera Mowry seems like the nice girl on the cast of The Real. And that "nice" factor is exactly what has her on the chopping block. The insider told MTO News that producers feel that all the other women on the show are "very opinionated" and that they would play well in the shows new "debate" format,
According to our insider, The Real plans on adding a "Conservative" voice to the show - so that there can be more "debate" among the shows cast. The insider told MTO News, "Everyone on the cast is a liberal democrat, so there's rarely any political or social debates. [Producers] want a friendly debate."
No final decisions have been made with regard to castings, but the insider believes that Tamera may be on her way out.
Tamera has been going through a lot lately including defending her husband who had reportedly been called a racist.
The mom of two, 40, discussed the assumption that her husband Adam Housley is racist because of his affiliation with Fox News, whose primetime commentary tends to be conservative-leaning, during her talk show The Real on Tuesday morning. The network hired Housley as a Los Angeles-based reporter in 2001, but he left last month, according to Politico.
“There are some people who think that my husband is racist because he worked for a certain channel,” said the former child star, who is half-black. “I’m gonna look in that camera right there and let everybody know my husband is not a racist.”
