Wendy Williams announced today on her talk show that she entered a sober house. Since Wendy's announcement, rumors have been circulating online and MTO has the real tea about why the talk show host checked herself into the facility.

There are online reports claiming that Wendy entered the facility due to cocaine or pill addiction, MTO can confirm that those reports are 100% false.

We spoke with a person close to Wendy who told MTO News that Wendy entered the program because she was worried that she was drinking too much alcohol.

Over the past few weeks and months, Wendy's Hunter Foundation has partnered with T.R.U.S.T., an organization dedicated to building a bridge from treatment to long-term recovery. The partnership launched a national hotline - which it seems took Williams' down memory lane with her own past with addiction.

“The Hunter Foundation launched a 24-hour nationwide hotline to offer treatment resources to get help for you if you happen to be addicted to drugs and substance abusing,” Williams told viewers on her show last week.

While working with T.R.U.S.T., Wendy reflected on her life - and the amount of alcohol that she's been drinking lately - and came to terms that she needed help. She didn't want to end up on the same addiction road that she was on nearly two decades ago.

Wendy told the audience this morning, “You know me for being a very open and honest person. You know Kevin and I have the Hunter Foundation for the good of the people and we recently launched out 888-HUNTER number for people who are in the struggle of addiction. Well, for some time now, and even today and beyond, I have been living in a sober house,”

She continued, saying, "When you see me come to work glammed up, right after the show, I do Pilates ... You know I’ve had a struggle with cocaine in the past," she said. "I never went to a place to get treatment. I don't know how. God was just sitting on my shoulder and I just stopped … there are people in your family, it might be you … I want you to know more of the story."

The talk show queen added, “After I go to the Pilates I go to several meetings all around town in the tri-state area, and I see my brothers and sisters caught up in their addiction and looking for help. They don’t know I’m Wendy. They don’t care I’m Wendy. there's no autographs, there's no nothing. It’s the brothers and sisters caught up in the struggle. It’s been really interesting, this ride.”

Wendy is being supported on her road to recovery by a loving family, a loving staff, and loving fans. We're praying for her . . . but we're so happy that she decided to get the help she needs.

And we cannot wait until her show tomorrow . . . How You DOINNNN??
