Bad news for The Game, who has now been ordered by a judge to pay his sexual assault accuser $7 million following his appeal.
The Game was accused of sexually assaulting Priscilla Rainey, a former contestant on his VH1 reality dating show, She's Got Game. Rainey claims that the incident took place during an "off-camera date" at a Chicago sports bar in May 2015.
A jury granted Rainey an award of $1.3 million back in November 2016, but now he will need to fork over more than five times that amount because of several posts he made on social media.
The Game had skipped out on the trial, citing dental surgery, but unfortunately, he posted on his social media account.
"The photos depicted [The Game] smoking something in a dark room under pink neon lights at 2:44 a.m. on Monday, November 14," Judge Sykes said per AllHipHop. "It remained un-clear whether Taylor's dental issue was a previously known condition or a sudden-onset emergency—a material fact in evaluating whether this was a good-faith excuse for skipping trial or just a ruse."
He continued: "[The Game] was out partying in the middle of the night just a few hours after he placed a call to an 'emergency dental hotline' and a few hours before he was due in court in Chicago."
The lesson here - when playing hooky, skip the social media updates!
