Tekashi 6ix9ine's father has said that he is relieved that his son is still behind bars, but says that people are going to try and kill his son as soon as he is released from prison.
Daniel Hernandez Sr. spoke to reporters after the sentencing:
"I feel glad that he's safe in there," he says.
"You know what I mean? Because there's nothing gonna happen. Outside, you know they're going to try to kill because of all the stuff that he was saying, blah blah. You guys know what I mean. I don't have to explain. It's a scary situation. He's a target, he's a target. He can't even hide. His face, his tattoos, '69'—he ain't going nowhere."
Tekashi shaved almost 45 years off a potential sentence when he turned state's witness against his former crew, Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. He was reportedly offered witness protection but turned it down.
Tekashi has his eye on a music career once he is released. Can he come back?
