He may be behind bars, but according to reports, rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine is already working on his next album and is preparing to drop after his release.

"It looks like he will be making music right away when he comes home," said a music insider to Page Six. "He already contacted a young NYC producer, and someone purchased two beats for him."

The debate about whether Tekashi will be able to forge a career after his release from prison is one of the hot topics on social media and podcasts across the country. It is reported that he will pass on the witness protection and thinks he will be able to have a successful career, despite snitching on his crew.

Back in January, we reported that Tekashi had been spending his days writing and producing songs for his next album. Surprising, considering Tekashi allegedly used a ghostwriter for most, if not all, of his hits.

Sources claimed that he has been doing some "serious writing" and using his fellow inmates' life stories as inspiration.

Ya'll copping that next Tekashi jawn?
