Tekashi 6ix9ine was arrested by the FBI this morning - and he likely will NEVER see the light of day again.
MTO News learned that 6ix9ine was federally charged under RICO (Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act) and taken into custody along with two affiliates of 6ix9ine, Shotty and Crippy.
RICO is a law that feds use to bring down organized crime rings.
According to the charges, Tekashi 6ix9ine is facing more than 100 years in prison if convicted. And federal prosecutors have a greater than 95% conviction rate..
The arrest comes just days before Tekashi is scheduled to drop his debut studio album Dummy Boy. The album is set to drop November 23 and includes guest appearances from Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Lil Baby, Gunna and more.
Back in July 6x9 was arrested previously and he was accused of choking a teenage fan in the Houston Galleria Mall. He was arrested in New York for the alleged assault, police said.
Tekashi 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, is seen in video from the January encounter rushing up to a 16-year-old fan inside the mall who had just recorded video of the rapper.
"Delete the video" Hernandez yells at the teenager in Spanish while holding on the person's shirt. Hernandez, 22, then grabbed the teenager by the neck, "causing small scratch marks and pain," according to court documents filed by Houston police detectives. With that crime he was facing up to one year in jail if convicted.
