Hollywood actress Taraji P. Henson is to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

 Henson has been nominated for and won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Television Series Drama (Empire) as well as a Screen Actors Guild Awards for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture (Hidden Figures.) 

“Taraji P Henson is a powerful woman and a powerful actress. She is an entertainer that fans cannot take their eyes off of due to her great acting ability,” said Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk Of Fame. 

“We welcome her bright star on our Walk Of Fame.”

Boyz In The Hood director John Singleton and rapper Mary J Blige will speak at the ceremony, which is due to take place on Jan. 28. Less than two weeks later, her new movie, What Men Want, will hit theaters on Feb. 9.
