Tamron Hall says that NBC made a wrong choice booting her in place of Megyn Kelly - but is grateful because now she has her very own talk show!

"Megyn's success or not, I already knew they made the wrong choice when I (walked out) the door … so I would never measure myself by her success or perceived lack thereof," she told the Television Critics Association on her panel while promoting her new nationally syndicated daytime talk show, Tamron Hall.

"I didn't know what could come after leaving that situation. I'm glad and fortunate this is the end result."

Hiring Kelly cost the network millions. Kelly faced national backlash after controversial remarks she made on-air about blackface. After getting rid of Kelly, however, NBC still had to fork over a whopping $30 million to her.

According to USA Today, Hall is teaming up with The View co-creator Bill Geddie, who will serve as executive producer, and co-executive producer Talia Parkinson-Jones, a 10-year veteran of The Wendy Williams Show.
