Yesterday, we reported that Tamera Mowry-Housley was desperately searching for her niece, hours after the Thousand Oaks shooting took place.

It has since been confirmed that her niece, Alaina Housley, was one of the 12 victims claimed by the crazed gunman.

Alaina was just 18 at the time of her death and is related to Tamera through marriage.

The Real co-host posted a touching tribute to her late niece, who was a student at the Pepperdine University in Napa, California.

“Alaina. My sweet, sweet Alaina. My heart breaks. I’m still in disbelief. It’s not fair how you were taken and how soon you were taken from us.

“I was blessed to know you ever since you were 5. You stole my heart. I will miss our inside jokes, us serenading at the piano,” the mother of two continued. “Thank you for being patient with me learning how to braid your hair, and I will never forget our duet singing the national anthem at Napa’s soccer game.

“I love you. I love you. I love you. You are gonna make one gorgeous angel. My heart and prayers are with every victim of this tragedy,” she wrote on Instagram.

Her husband, Adam Housley has also been paying tribute to his niece on his Twitter page, and shared a statement from Alaina's parents.

"Words can't describe our grief over losing our daughter… She was everything we could hope for in a child: kind, smart, beautiful and respectful. [...] We want to honor Alaina by focusing on how she lived her life. She would have enjoyed the public debate that is certain to happen after this tragedy. But she would have insisted that it be respectful with an eye toward solving these senseless shootings."

The Thousand Oaks gunman will never face justice as he took his own life after killing 11 people in the bar.
