'The Real' co-host, Tamera Mowry broke down about her niece's murder during a discussion on gun violence on the show.

Her niece Alaina Housley, lost her life in the Thousand Oaks nightclub shooting back in November of 2018.

Mowry-Housley claimed that she did not feel safe to go into work after the shooting and is lobbying for gun control reform. The talk show host told the panel that she worries for her children who understand that a "bad man came" and killed their cousin.

She vows to keep her children safe and battles to keep their innocence, before labeling herself as a "gun survivor."
