Starbucks faced a PR nightmare after members of staff revealed that the company had banned them from wearing Black Lives Matter apparel or accessories -- and now they've launched a t-shirt to promote the organization in response to the uproar.
"Black Lives Matter. We continue to listen to our partners and communities and their desire to stand for justice together. In response to this historic time, our store partners can show support with their own t-shirts, pins and name tags. "The Starbucks Black Partner Network has also co-designed t-shirts with this graphic that will soon be sent to 250,000+ store partners," they added.
Some are still criticizing the coffee chain for only taking position this after many threatened to boycott their stores. Is this a case of too little too late, or is it better late than never?
