Da 5 Blood director Spike Lee has spoken out about working with Chadwick Boseman on the set of his Netflix movie, Da 5 Bloods.
"We filmed 'Da 5 Bloods' in Thailand, and it was hot, jungles, mountains, and Chadwick was there with us all the way," Lee said. "I never, ever suspected that anything was wrong. No one knew he was going through treatment, chemotherapy."
"Chadwick, a trooper, never complained," Lee continued. "He was there every single minute in the moment. And his performance is a testament to what he put into that role, and all his roles. We miss you, Chadwick, we're going to celebrate your life," he added.
Boseman passed away on Friday after battling with colon cancer for four years. He kept his diagnosis private and starred in some of his biggest movie including Marvel superhero flick, Black Panther, which broke world records across the globe upon its release.
