Kathryn Dennis, star of Bravo show 'Southern Charm' has said that she is proud of the "badass" that she's become.

Speaking to Page Six, Kathryn opened up about her journey to maturity.

“I felt extremely proud that I’m doing this on my own. And celebrating myself and acknowledging all of the progress I’ve made, which I never do,” the “Southern Charm” star told Page Six.

 “It felt very liberating and satisfying and I truly am proud of the person I’ve become, what I’ve been through and I hope that I do inspire other women to know you can do it cause we’re all badasses!”

 Kathryn, 26, shares two children, Kensie, 5, and Saint, 3, with Thomas Ravenel, 56.

Her baby daddy is not appearing in the new season of the show following allegations that he raped their former nanny. Details of Ravenel's abusive behavior towards Kathryn has been exposed by the nanny this week, even claiming that he tried to forced Kathryn into having an abortion while she was pregnant with their son.

Viewers of the show have witnessed Kathryn's battles with drugs, alcohol and depression.
