British rapper, Solo 45, rape trial will recommence on Wednesday after it was adjourned last week due to illness.

Solo 45 (real name Andy Anokye) began trial last week before a jury at Bristol Crown Court, where he is accused of multiple crimes including 22 counts of rape.

The Grime rapper was ill on Friday and according to the Bristol Post, was deemed not to be in a sufficient state to participate in the trial on Monday.

The trial judge, William Hart, released the jury until Wednesday. Anokye, 31, denies 31 charges involving four women spanning 2015 to 2017. He currently faces charges of 22 rapes; five false imprisonments; two of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and two of assault by penetration.

Accounts of his violence against his victims have shocked the UK public. Solo 45 allegedly repeatedly raped his victims and is even accused of stabbing one of his victims and pouring bleach into her mouth.
