Sherri Shepherd recently lost 30 pounds, while on the trendy new kept diet.
The former View talk show host showed off her new body at last night's American Heart Association's Go Red For Women Red Dress Collection 2019 in New York.
Sherri is the latest celeb to try out the keto diet— which allows dieters to eat bacon or cook with butter - but also makes them give up sugar completely
But weight loss isn't the only benefit of ditching sugar and going keto. Sherri has also claimed that she now has more energy and thinks more clearly. Sherri told her Instagram fans recently that she feels more "focused" and "patient" with her son.
This isn't the first time Sherri's hinted at her weight loss, though-since starting her diet in March, she's been posting tidbits of her progress all over Instagram (mainly through fierce selfies). In one, she admitted that she still sometimes longs for her "trusty #butterfinger,"-but that she's already donated her size 16/18 jeans, "so not going back.".
Sherri also recently shared the following photo to her Instagram account:
“Getting it in!!! Over 260 days #sugarfree … can’t begin to describe how amazing I feel,” she wrote in the caption. “Energy, clarity of thought and mind. Focused … patient (with) my son. Hearing from God a lot more clearly. Present. I’ve done this slowly and steadily and since March I’ve come down over 25 lbs.”

Shepherd has been open about her weight struggles in the past. Early in her career, she had to overcome criticism that she wouldn’t make it as a leading actress because of her weight. She still remembers one hurtful comment from 1995, when she was doing stand-up comedy.
“I had a manager from New York who said to me, ‘You’re going to have to lose weight because you will never play anything more than the girl next door.’ That statement affected me for a very long time, but it also drove me to prove her wrong,” Shepherd told TODAY in 2013.
