Last night, Angela Simmons and Romeo Miller appeared to get one step closer to entering into a relationship on the WE tv hit series Growing Up Hip Hop.
The reality show is teasing a possible relationship between Angela Simmons and Romeo. It's a major storyline for both Angela and Romeo.
But according to one of Romeo's friends, it's not real it's just a storyline.
The friend explained, "Romeo doesn't date Black girls. He prefers White women." The pal continued, "You might maybe see him with a biracial woman, but he hasn't been with a Black girl - fully Black - since he was a teenager."
And as for Angela's belief that Romeo is secretly interested in dating her, the friend explained, "Angela is delusional."
Publicly, in December during the promo run for the show the two spoke with Page Six.
“We’re good friends and we got good chemistry, but I am also about respect,” Miller said.
Simmons’ ex, Sutton Tennyson — with whom she has a 2-year-old son — was murdered in November in his Atlanta garage.
“She lost somebody, and she definitely got to grieve,” Romeo told Page Six on in December at a party for the show at a nightclub.
“I am not a dude to take advantage of that,” he said. “We cool though. That is one of my good friends. I think people just want to see people like that together in general. But you can’t rush that — whatever happens, happens.”
BUT Here's some video from the show. You can see that they are using the potential relationship as a storyline:
