Actor Robert DeNiro has always been upfront about his feelings for President Donald Trump and his administration, and took the opportunity to take another swipe at the president over his "abuse of power."
"We are in such a dire situation, so deeply concerning to me and to so many others. I have to say something," the actor said on stage at the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles.
"There's right, and there's wrong, and there's common sense, and there's abuse of power," he said. "And as a citizen, I have as much right as anybody – an actor, an athlete, a musician, anybody else – to voice my opinion and if I have a bigger voice because of my situation, I'm going to use it whenever I see a blatant abuse of power."
Trump's impeachment trial is currently underway, but many have low expectations for the outcome of the trial, as Trump has managed to avoid every hurdle thrown his way thus far.
