Rihanna will be this year's recipient of the NAACP President's Award, the organization announced on Tuesday.

According to the site, the award is given "in recognition of special achievement and distinguished public service."

NAACP President Derrick Johnson said the following in a statement, "From her business achievements through Fenty to her tremendous record as an activist and philanthropist, Rihanna epitomizes the type of character, grace, and devotion to justice that we seek to highlight in our President's Award."

Rihanna is in good company. Last year, Roc Nation boss JAY-Z was honored with the award. Previous recipients include Ms. Lauryn Hill, Spike Lee, Soledad O'Brien, Colin Powell, Condoleeza Rice, and Muhammad Ali.

Johnson will present the President's Award to Rihanna during the 51st NAACP Image Awards, which broadcast live on BET on Saturday, February 22, at 8 p.m. Eastern.

Congratulations to Rihanna! The Navy still wants to know when her new album is dropping though...
