In a recently published interview in Vogue, Rihanna revealed that she turned down an offer to perform at the Super Bowl LIII because of Colin Kapernick, saying she "couldn't be a sellout."

"I couldn't dare do that. For what? Who gains from that? Not my people. I just couldn't be a sellout. I couldn't be an enabler. There's things within that organization that I do not agree with at all, and I was not about to go and be of service to them in any way,' she explained.

Back in August, Jay-Z announced his partnership with the NFL on its entertainment presentations and Inspire Change Initiative, where he stated that the Black community had "moved past kneeling," after he was criticized for selling out.

Rihanna actually sat down for the interview with Vogue before Jay announced his plans to the world - but her words could not come at a more awkward time - as it's now Jay who's being accused by some of being a sellout!
