RHONJ star Teresa Giudice calls the pending deportation of her husband, Joe Giudice "heartbreaking" in a candid interview this morning.

Speaking on Good Morning America, the RHONJ veteran opened up about her family preparing for Joe's involuntary return to Italy.

"It's heartbreaking," she said. "Adults can handle anything. It's hard for children to go through this. They're asking themselves "Why is this happening to me? I want my daddy to come home."

Joe was not an illegal immigrant and had lived and worked here in the US for decades. Attention was drawn to his non-citizen status after he was arrested and subsequently charged and imprisoned for tax fraud. Back in 2014, the couple pled guilty to 41 counts of fraud. Teresa served 11 months in 2015, while Joe is currently serving 41 months which comes to an end in 2019.

"I guess that is something you would have to ask his parents," she added. "His dad became an American citizen before he was 18 and then his mom did it after he was 18 and I don't know why they never made him an American citizen."

Teresa has vowed to stay strong for her daughters, Gia, 17, Gabriella, 14, Milania, 13, and Audriana who is 9 and the reality couple will be appealing the deportation, although, in Trump's administration, we're not sure whether it will make a difference considering his anti-immigration rants.

The new season of RHONJ premieres Nov 7 9/8c on Bravo.
