Real Housewives of New Jersey star Joe Giudice has been forced to apply for an "extension of time" in the courts after a court ruled he was in "noncompliance" with a recent filing.

According to Aug. 30 Pennsylvania court papers obtained by Radar Online, the extension was filed to allow Joe to submit a reply brief after the Attorney General slammed his deportation appeal, and demanded that the felon be deported from the United States to his native Italy.

"If the court finds that a party continues not to be in compliance with the rules despite notice by the Clerk, the Court may, in its discretion, impose sanctions as it may deem appropriate, including but not limited to the dismissal of the appeal, imposition of costs or disciplinary sanctions upon a party or counsel."

Joe was given just three days to file the paperwork - and now that he has, he is back in compliance with the court.

Joe has been in ICE detention since his release from prison earlier this year.

His wife, Teresa Giudice, has been snapped enjoying her summer. She has stated that she will divorce him if he is sent back to Italy.
