VH1 released the trailer of the Season 7 premiere of VH1’s “Black Ink Crew” - and the trailer suggested that New York shop owner, Ceasar Emmanuel, and ex-fiancee Dutchess Lattimore would be reuniting.
In the footage from the trailer, a woman with long dread locs and resembling Dutchess was seen riding in a dimly lit car, approaching Ceasar.
Well it turns out that wasn't Dutchess. VH1 used a look-alike actress to fake out their viewers. They also allegedly used old audio of Dutchess voice to construct the scene.
Here's the trailer:
Dutchess put the network on Blast yesterday by telling fans that not only is she NOT returning to “Black Ink Crew” – she is also not the woman shown in the trailer!
In an interview last year she said, “When I first walked away from the show I wanted to kill myself," says Dutchess. "I went through a serious depression. I went through getting harassment from cast members, death threats. They would call my shop and tell my mother the most heinous things that they were going to do to me if I came back to New York.”
She continues, “It got to a point where I didn’t think I would ever escape it. This is two-and-a-half years ago and the new season of the show starts and I’m topic of discussion every episode and I’m not even there.”
One fan asked Dutchess:
“You Back On Black Ink”
“@9magtv negative not at all it’s not me it’s old voice over and an actress”
And she had more to say too:
