Rapper Tech 9’s death has been ruled a suicide two months after he was found dead.

The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office determined that Tech 9 (real name Akhiym Mickens) died of an overdose of diphenhydramine, an antihistamine found in medicine like Benadryl, according to Philadelphia magazine. He was pronounced dead at the Holy Redeemer Hospital just outside of Philadelphia on March 24.

Tech 9, a staple in the battle rap community for over a decade, committed suicide on March 25 just one day before was scheduled to appear in court for an arraignment hearing on charges of child pornography, indecent assault, indecent exposure, and corruption of minors, Philadelphia reported.

He was arrested back in January following allegations that he had assaulted his girlfriend’s daughter. He was released on a $50,000 bond two days after his arrest. Following his death, much of the Hip Hop community stepped forward to share their condolences, many were unaware of his pending charges.
