Texas rapper Tay-K has pleaded guilty to an aggravated robbery charge ahead of his upcoming trial.

Tay also pleaded not guilty to the murder of 21-year-old Ethan Walker.

Tay-K 47, real name is Taymor McIntyre, is on trial this week for capital murder for his alleged involvement in the robbery that left Ethan Walker fatally shot and another man wounded. Despite being just 16 at the time of the shooting, Tay is standing trial as an adult.

He is one of seven defendants accused in the robbery and fatal shooting.

Jeff Kearney, one of Tay's three defense attorneys, told jurors in opening statements on Tuesday that "Tay agreed to participate in a robbery. Tay participated in a robbery."

He also stated that "accepted responsibility" through his plea, per the Star-Telegram.

The young rapper is also charged in a second capital murder case that occurred while he was on the run. He reportedly robbed and fatally shot 23-year-old Mark Saldivar and allegedly robbed 65-year-old Skip Pepe before his arrest.
