Jacksonville, Florida rapper Yungeen Ace could have been the latest rapper to have been shot. But instead one of his "opps" ended up dead.
Yungeen Ace and his crew were reportedly ambushed inside a Georgia hotel. Now two of the men accused of ambushing him are dead, and three of his friends are in jail.
According to police, three Jacksonville men were taken into custody. Mark Jefferson, 26, Leroy Whittaker, 18, and Devante Starks, 26, were arrested on a series of gun and drug charges.
Specifically, the local NBC-affiliate reported that, "Jefferson, was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and marijuana possession. Whittaker, was arrested and charged with a marijuana misdemeanor, reckless conduct and possession of a handgun without a license. And Starks, was arrested and charged with possession of a firearm and marijuana possession."
Attorney David Hass said Yungeen Ace, real name Keyanta Bullard, and his group were ambushed as they returned to the hotel.
Police have not released details on the shooting, and the incident surrounding it. Police did say, however, that they were responding to a report of people being chased by another group of people who were armed with handguns.
Yungeen Ace seems to always find himself around trouble.
In June 2018, the rapper, real name Keyanta Bullard, was the lone survivor of a shooting that took place near the Town Center Mall in Jacksonville.
His brother Tre'von Bullard, 18, and friends Royale D'Von Smith Jr., 18, and Jercoby Da'Shad Groover, 19 were all killed in the shooting. In that incident, police said a car pulled up and began firing at the vehicle the four teens were sitting in.
