Lil Nas X, the rapper known for his viral country-trap hit song, "Old Town Road" appeared to officially come out as gay yesterday. But then he quickly switched gears, and suggested that he was just trolling.

He used Sunday, the last official day of Pride Month to reveal the news to fans:

"Some of y' all already know, some of y' all don't care, some of y' all not gone fwm no more. but before this month ends i want y' all to listen closely to c7osure," he wrote on Twitter.

Then, about an hour later, he stealthily told fans that he was just joking:

Fans then begin to try and pick apart his single "C7osure," which doesn't really make it that obvious:

"Brand new places I'll choose and I'll go, I know /Embracin' this news I behold unfolding/ I know, I know, I know it don't feel like it's time / But I look back at this moment, I'll see that I'm fine."

The rapper received a lot of support online for his brave outing, vowing to protect him at all costs.
