A woman who accused R. Kelly of sexual assault has asked a judge for a default judgment in her case against the disgraced singer.
Faith Rodgers filed a lawsuit against Kelly in 2018, accusing him of sexually assaulting her and giving her herpes. She also alleges that during their three-year relationship, he would lock her up when he was not content with her sexual performance.
It's been over two years since she filed the lawsuit, and she now wants a judge to pass a default judgment on the lawsuit, as she says Kelly has failed to respond to her case adequately and in a timely fashion.
According to Page Six, Rodgers is also asking for a trial to take place to determine the damages that Kelly should have to pay her.
"Without question, Robert Kelly had nothing to do with any of these alleged acts by those charged. He has not attempted to intimidate anyone, or encouraged anyone else to do so. No involvement whatsoever," Kelly's lead attorney, Steven Greenberg, told the outlet.
