R. Kelly's marriage to r&b singer Aaliyah is being used by prosecutors to prove that the disgraced star is a "prolific" abuser.

The couple wed in secret back in 1994 when Aaliyah was just 15 years of age. During the Surviving R. Kelly docuseries, one of Kelly's former managers admitted that the paperwork for the marriage wrongly had Aaliyah's age recorded as 18 - and that he helped them finesse the system.

"[Kelly] even married a 15-year-old girl when he was 27 years old," the prosecutors write to a judge in the Northern District of Illinois per Page Six. "The government produced in discovery to the defendant the official marriage application, marriage certificate, and annulment records for this marriage. Far from being a one-time mistake, defendant's sexual abuse of minors was intentional and prolific."

The marriage is near irrefutable evidence, not to mention the tapes, flight tickets, and the other mountain of evidence against the star.

Can Kelly beat the case a second time?
