A warrant has been issued for the arrest of R. Kelly's former manager.
According to CNN, the arrest warrant was issued over the summer for James Mason following accusations that he threatened to kill the father of Joycelyn Savage.
Joycelyn's parents were featured in the "Surviving R. Kelly" docu-series detailing their battle to bring their daughter back home.
Back in May 2018, Timothy Savage told officers at Henry County police department that his daughter is being held against her will by R. Kelly. Mason then threatened him for drawing attention to the issues.
Timothy Savage reportedly stated that Mason said, "I'm gonna do harm to you and your family, when I see you I'm gonna get you, I'm going to f***ing kill you."
A Magistrate Judge issued a warrant in July, citing "terroristic threats and acts."
Joycelyn parents believe that Joycelyn has been brainwashed and is being abused by Kelly. Joycelyn has released several videos via TMZ denying that she is being held against her will or unsafe in any way.
"I just want everybody to know -- my parents and everybody in the world -- that I'm totally fine. I'm happy where I'm at and everything is OK with me," she said in the video.
CNN was able to contact Mason via telephone, who refused to comment. He is obviously not so hard to find, so why has he not yet been arrested since July's warrant was issued?
