Despite his money woes, R. Kelly managed to cough up $62,000 in child support to avoid more time in jail.

TMZ reports that the shamed singer appeared in court Wednesday in Cook County and March, April and May's child support to his ex-wife Andrea Kelly, who also attended the hearing.

Kelly's Crisis Manager, Darrell Johnson, told the breaking news outlet that Kelly also placed June, July, and August payments in an escrow account, and he "now looks forward to clearing his name in and being cleared of all charges in the near future."

It was previously reported that Kelly had emptied his bank accounts and was broke, but he's been able to avoid more jail time. It seems that Kelly may have some income coming in.

His child support hearings were previously sealed, but on Weds, Judge Lori Rosen officially unsealed the whole case from this date forward, meaning that press could sit in on his child support hearing
