MTO News is sad to report that buzzing Mississippi rapper Lil Lonnie was shot and killed in a drive by shooting on Saturday night.
According to our sources, Lonnie, who is only 22 years old, was shot while sitting in his car. He was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
At the time, Lonnie's situation was grave, and people close to the situation were asking for prayers and they still are.
Unfortunately, Lil Lonnie was called home late yesterday. The Mississippi rapper died from the injuries he sustained after being shot.

The shooting happened in the 2300 block of Montebello Drive. The victim has been identified by Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham-Stewart as rapper Lonnie Taylor, aka "Lil Lonnie." Around 10:30 p.m., officers found a vehicle that had crashed into a residence. The male driver was later pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger was not injured. The vehicle had been struck by gunfire as it traveled down Montebello Drive. No suspect or motive is known at time. Taylor was one of two people who were killed and two people were injured after after three separate shooting incidents in Jackson. One of the injured is listed in critical condition.
