Two men were killed when a small plane crashed in Broward County last Friday. Video of the crash has gone viral, after MTO News has learned that a passerby live-streamed the crash footage on Instagram.
And he showed everything in the footage, from the wreckage to the dead bodies. The video has been seen more than 10,000,000 times on social media, and it is EXTREMELY GRAPHIC.
Yesterday, Florida authorities identified the two men killed as Nissan Giat, 53, and Joaquin Ricalde, 56. The two men died after the twin-engine Aero Commander crashed in an industrial area off S. Park Road in Pembroke Park, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said yesterday.
The plane took off from Pompano Beach Airpark and was headed to Opa-locka, according to authorities.
Family members said Ricalde, of Miami, was the pilot. They said he had more than 30 years of piloting experience.
"My dad was a great man. He worked his entire life to give us what we wanted," said his son, Roman Ricalde. "For me, there’s wasn’t a better man or person."
