Patriots safety Patrick Chung has been indicted in New Hampshire on a cocaine possession charge.

According to reports, Chung was indicted on Aug. 8 for the June incident.

Meredith Police were reportedly called to Chung’s lakeside home on a “call for service.” Officers came to check on a possible break-in because an alarm went off.

“The charges arise from an incident which occurred on June 25, 2019 when members of the Meredith New Hampshire police department were called to Mr. Chung’s residence for service,” Belknap County attorney Andrew Livernois said in a statement per the NY Post. “During the course of that call, the police obtained the evidence which has led to the current charges being filed.”

New Hampshire has two felony categories, A and B, with B being the lower level. Chung faces a Class B offense.

The Patriots issued a brief statement following the news of the indictment:

“We are aware of the reports regarding Patrick Chung. We will not be commenting while his judicial proceedings take place,” the team said.
