Public outrage was sparked yesterday after an MSNBC reporter allegedly used the N-word during a live broadcast following the death of Kobe Bryant.

Alison Morris appeared to let the N-word slip while trying to say the name of Bryant's team, The Lakers, during an announcement about the fatal helicopter crash. Morris denied saying the slur, but that she just got tongue-tied and mispronounced Lakers, but folks heard her say "n*gger" and began to call for her firing immediately.

"Earlier today, while reporting on the tragic news of Kobe Bryant's passing, I unfortunately stuttered on air, combining the names of the Knicks and the Lakers to say 'Nakers,'" she wrote on Twitter.

"Please know I did not & would NEVER use a racist term. I apologize for the confusion this caused."

Twitter was certainly not buying it, and her mentions have been in a shambles ever since the broadcast.

Y'all believe her or nah?
