Oprah Winfrey has defended gal pal Meghan Markle as the U.K. media continues to rip her to shreds.

Every day, the U.K. publications are filled with stories labeling Markle "difficult" and a "diva" - words that are commonly used to disparage Black women.

Speaking to 'CBS In The Morning' host Gayle King (who is also Oprah's bestie,) Oprah said:

“I think she’s being portrayed unfairly, and I feel that if people really knew her they would know that she is not only everything we perceive of her in being graceful and dynamic in holding that position, but she just has a wonderful, warm, giving, loving heart. I think it’s very unfair.”

Winfrey attended the couple’s royal wedding in May and has hung out with Markle's mother, Doria Ragland for some yoga sessions. She has also paired up with Markle's hubby, Prince Harry to produced a documentary on Mental Health. Markle is due to give birth later this month.
