Rapper Maino seems to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Three months ago, he was at the Highline Ballroom - when rapper Troy Ave shot at multiple people. Maino was NOT involved in that incident - he was just there.
Now last night it happened again - this time someone died. Maino was hosting a club in Ottawa, Canada, and a 33-year-old man was shot and killed.
Here is how the Ottawa Citizen is reporting what happened:
Coincidentally, police officers were parked in a cruiser at the corner of Dalhousie and Clarence Streets when they received the call about the shooting. The officers tried to revive the victim in the club before paramedics arrived.
Paramedics were not able to stabilize the victim, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The body of the unidentified victim remained in the club just before 10 a.m. Sunday morning, as forensic investigators processed “the complicated scene.”
Several of the deceased’s friends, who had received word he had been shot during the night and rushed to hospitals and then to the police station for news, were visibly upset in the street outside of the club.
A woman in that group said she had been at the club Saturday night with the deceased to see a concert, but she left early as she did not like “the vibe” of the crowd. Brooklyn rapper Maino was scheduled to perform.
