Nicki Minaj is claiming that ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels from Love & Hip Hop abused her. Nicki is making the startling accusations in her new documentary entitled "Queen."
According to two people inside Nicki's camp, Nicki is prepared to talk openly about what she describes is an "abusive" relationship with Love & Hip Hop star Safaree. And Nicki's making the allegations against Safaree in her new documentary Queen.
But Nicki's friends tell MTO News, however, that the Queen will not name Safaree specifically in the documentary. The insider explains, "[The lawyers] won't let Nicki use Safaree's name specifically as her abuser." But Nicki's timeline of the events - we're told - makes it clear that she is talking about her reality star ex.
The insider added, "Nicki calls him mentally and physically abusive."
And Nicki has evidence. In 2011 Nicki filed a police report against Safaree - claiming that he hit her in the mouth and busted her lip.
According to the police report, Nicki and Safaree were arguing inside a Dallas hotel - and she was trying to break up with him.
Nicki told police that she was in the room looking into her suitcase, which had some of Safaree's stuff in it. According to Nicki, Safaree "grabbed the suitcase and as he was picking it up, he shoved the suitcase across [Nicki's] chin and lower lip."
The police report continues: "[Nicki's] teeth struck the inside of her lower lip, causing the inside of the lower lip to cut and start to bleed."
Police say that they called a paramedic to treat Nicki's injuries, but that Nicki declined pressing charges against Safaree.
