A New Jersey woman was shot in the head, while watching a fight on the streets of Trenton, NJ last Sunday, MTO News has confirmed.
According to police, the shooting occurred on the 100 block of Hoffman Avenue.
And the shooting was caught on tape. It has since gone viral, after being viewed more than 10 million times on social media.
Prosecutors told MTO News that the shooting happened as a group of people were gathered in the streets to watch two girls fight.
While the two women were fighting, a woman watching the fight was shot once in the head.
Police believe that the unknown gunman or gunwoman who shot the woman, was the victim's longtime opponent or 'opps". They suspect that because of the coronavirus, quarantine, this was the first chance the shooter had to "get at" the opps.
The gunshot victim was transported to the hospital and remains in critical condition.
The people watching the fight were actually congregating in violation of the Governor's mandatory quarantine. New Jersey residents are required to stay in doors to help fight the spread of the coronavirus that has now infected approximately 363,000 people nationwide and has already caused the deaths of at least 10,000, according to the New York Times database.
Thus, the cluster of people might not only aid the spread of the coronavirus, but also now a woman has been shot.
