There's a new app that allows users to change their race - on all pictures - before uploading them onto social media.

FaceApp launched a new ""race" filter for their app. But almost as quickly as the feature was launched, the company promptly pulled a pack of four "ethnicity" filters in less 24 hours. 

The filters were quickly erased from the app, but they had allowed users to use a "Race filter" to change their race on pictures.

The company used technology called FaceApp's ethnicity filters, that allowed users to choose between four ethnicities—Asian, Indian, Caucasian, and Black.

The picture would change depending on what ethnicity they close - altering the subjects  facial features, hair textures, and skin tones.
