Season five of the Netflix show, 'Black Mirror' is just around the corner and the streaming giants have released not one but three trailers.
'Black Mirror' is an anthology series that taps into our collective unease with the modern world, with each stand-alone episode a sharp, suspenseful tale exploring themes of contemporary techno-paranoia. Without questioning it, technology has transformed all aspects of our lives; in every home; on every desk; in every palm - a plasma screen; a monitor; a Smartphone – a Black Mirror reflecting our 21st Century existence back at us. The series is created and written by Charlie Brooker, and executive produced by Brooker and Annabel Jones.
Here are the brand new clips:
The first trailer centers around Anthony Mackie's character who is trying to have a baby with his wife but becomes tempted to cheat by the virtual world.
The second trailer appears to be a dark twist on the taxi services Lyft and Uber - as a driver takes a fare hostage at gunpoint.
The second centers around Miley Cyrus' episode who becomes the spokeswoman for an Alexa/Siri type virtual assistant - which soon takes a turn for the worst.
Season 5 of 'Black Mirror' starts streaming on Netflix Jun. 5.
