N.C. Police In Trouble With LGBT . . . Described Cross Dressing Robber As 'MALE' On Poster!!

Publish date:

Police in North Carolina CAUGHT a dangerous bank robber - thanks to a very descriptive wanted poster - but now they are in TROUBLE with LGBT activists.

Last week, a Durham, North Carolina bank was robbed - and a teller was shot. The robber appeared to be wearing a disguise - with micro braids and a pink outfit. The robber also had a well defined MUSTACHE AND BEARD.

Police quickly circulated a wanted poster - showing PICS of the robber, and describing the robber as a "Black male".

And the wanted posted worked. Police received multiple tips which eventually led them on Thursday to the arrest of Javon Cheek, 24, of Durham. Cheek has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

“He was also served with an outstanding warrant from the Durham County Sheriff’s Office charging him with being a sex offender and failing to report his new address,” according to the news release.

But there's more to the story. You see, a number of LGBT activists are UPSET with the robber description as a "male."

According to a bunch of online activists on social media, the police was "wrong" to describe the robber as a male. They believe that doing so is DETRIMENTAL to the transgender community.

Cheek was placed in the Durham County Jail under a $500,000 bond.

Police said they are still trying to find his alleged associate Larry Lamar Johnson, 29, of Durham. Johnson is wanted on charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon in connection with the bank robbery on Wednesday.
