Rapper Mystikal has been released from prison after posting his $3 million bond.
Mystikal served 18 months behind bars but managed to ink a new music deal and advance to pay for his release.
“It’s been a long time coming for Mike,” attorney Tim Yazbeck told TMZ. “But now he can get back to being the artist he is, doing what he loves, and seeing his kids again.”
The NOLA rapper was accused of raping a woman after a concert in Shreveport, Louisiana back in 2016.
His other lawyer, Joel Pearce added:
"Based on all of the evidence we have, we strongly believe that an amicable resolution is not only possible but probable as an outcome in this case and that Michael Tyler will never be made to return to jail for a crime he didn’t commit."
His trial begins in May.
