Black Panther Director Ryan Coogler is married – to the lovely Zinzi Evans.
Zinzi is thirty-two years old which means that she’s older than her husband by one year. Both were born and raised in Oakland, California.
Zinzi was a high school letter woman who won seven league championships and also served as the team captain of the high school cross-country team for three years in a row. She also left high school with a record of being one of the top cross-country runners under the Fresno Bulldogs.
While at the University of California, Fresno, she was a scholar-athlete and graduated from the university in the early 2000s. Her father is Zishan and her mother Maria raised six children, one son, and five daughters.
Zinzi loves to play volleyball, dance and listen to music and her favorite sport is cross-country.
The hype around 'Black Panther' has been so great that there are already talks of a sequel. Coogler has also been dubbed "the Black Steven Speilberg" by critics. And social media is going nuts over the strong Black women in the movie.
"Our neighborhoods, our families were run by women who look like Lupita and Danai,” Coogler tells the Washington Post. “That’s how my mom looks. I saw my mom be a warrior, a leader, a loving wife and a magic mom every day. … I wasn’t seeing that in pop culture.”
