MTO News learned that Tulsa police have issued an Amber Alert for a seven-year-old girl who is believed to have been kidnapped by her mother. Police believe that the little girl’s life is in danger, and have accused her mother of stabbing her 11-year-old daughter.
According to police, 39-year-old Taheerah Ahmad allegedly stabbed her 11-year-old daughter several times before setting her home on fire on Mother's Day. One local reports say that Taheerah is believed to have "snapped" after having a "bad Mother's Day."
Taheerah is believed to have taken 7-year-old daughter, Hafsa Hailey Ahmad, and authorities are worried for her safety. The 11-year-old girl who was stabed is in a local hospital in critical condition.
Ahmad is described as a 6’0″ tall white woman who weighs around 190 pounds, with curly black hair that has gold streaks in it. Hafsa is described as half Black, with puffy hair in a ponytail, wearing an ankle-length peach dress, and painted gold bracelets.
Local reports say, "Ahmad is believed to be in a black 2005 Lexus RX300 SUV with an Oklahoma paper tag, number UD-4967 or a 2011 Ford Escape with Oklahoma license tag 778MNX with paper tags. Police said Ahmad has lived in Tennessee and Texas in the past, and they are not sure where she could be headed."
"The 9-year-old sibling of the 11-year-old stated that earlier in the evening, that the mother had duct taped their hands, put socks in their mouths, and then began stabbing the 11-year-old," said Jeannie McKenzie of the Tulsa Police.
