Michelle Williams, formerly from Destiny's Child, is suffering from a deep depression, she's quit both her Broadway show and her OWN show.
Michelle's representative released the following notice to the media yesterday:
“Effective immediately, Michelle T. Williams has been advised by her medical doctors to take a leave of absence from performing., As a result, the singer/actress will not continue in the Tony Award winning Broadway production of Once On This Island.”
Radar Online is reporting that Michelle, who joined the cast to play the role of the goddess Erzulie two weeks ago, is “struggling mentally and people close to her are very worried.”
This is worrisome, given that this announcement comes just one week after she and fiancé Chad Johnson had called off their engagement.
And Michelle didn't just quit her Broadway show - she quit her OWN show too.
Michelle and Chad have been filming a show chronicling their engagement and upcoming wedding on OWN, but they broke up with a couple of episodes still left to be shot.
Radar Online claims that Michelle stopped showing up to film her show and the pressure from the network is coming down on her to get the last episode out with changes before next week. “She’s not cooperating. She is shut down.”
“She was told she had to reshoot the last episode of her reality show with Chad to include that they were calling off their wedding,” Radar's informant dished. “That’s very emotional for her, she doesn’t want to relive that.”
