Mariah Carey has faced some backlash after she posted an adorable video in the car with her children - but they did not have their seat belts on.

The trio were singing Mariah's Christmas hit, "All I Want For Christmas" for the camera, but while they were singing, some fans were preoccupied with the fact that Rocco and Monroe were not buckled up.

"Wouldn't take much for that bubble to burst. Multi car accidents happen," one fan wrote.

"Safety first then fun" wrote another.

"So cute!!! But why are the kids riding in the car with no seatbelts tho??!"

We're sure Mariah will have some shady comeback for her critics, but she seems to be making sure that her twins have the best childhood possible. Especially considering her's was so difficult.

She recently sat down with Pitchfork for an interview where she opened up about what life was like for the young Carey.

"It was very difficult. People don’t really know about it because I’ve always been pretty vague, but I’ve alluded to it in certain songs. “Close My Eyes” from Butterfly talks about it: “I was a wayward child with the weight of the world that I held deep inside/Life was a winding road, and I learned many things little ones shouldn’t know.” A lot of intense stuff happened to me when I was a kid, that people who grew up with money or with families that weren’t fully dysfunctional will never quite understand. And then being biracial on top of it, and having no place to really fit in," she told them.

She's come such a long way.
